Compôte’s mission is be a carbon neutral company and have set the following targets and undertaken some key initiatives:

• Self sufficiency in electricity through the installation of solar panels.

• We operate solely from collected rain water.

• Our showroom and storeroom are from recycled shipping containers.

• We have commenced a significant planting programme on our property.

• We produce our own natural fertiliser for all our planting.

• We aim to minimise unnecessary packing and packaging by utilising as much of that provided by our supplier.

• Our team will assist in an annual local community planting programme.

• For every sale we make we will sponsor 1 hectare (over a year) to protect critically threatened and declining species from the Kaipara Harbour area.
